Muted with AirPods but can’t unmute

Muted the mic while on discord with my AirPods while pressing the AirPods once. This disabled the internal mic and doesn’t mute within the discord app. Took out my AirPods and found I don’t have a way to unmute. Voice memos won’t register any sound and the only solution I found was to either call someone which unmuted it or reset the phone. If you toggle the mute with the AirPods, is there a way to manually unmute from the phone directly.

Airpods Max - Mic mute function? AirPods max are 500$. Can it not mute microphone when away from phone or computer? Not talking about muting the music volume, but muting the microphone?

AirPods mute/unmute from AirPod stem question Will the new mute/unmute using the stem of the AirPods gonna replace the hang up function? I use them for answer and hang up calls with a single click and don’t want it replaced
