Macbook and Airpod connectivity issues

Facing issue connecting my Macbook Air M1 with Airpods pro2.

I recently updated to Sequoia on my Macbook and since then whenever i switch my Airpods from iphone to macbook (i do it manually by clicking on connect button under bluetooth on my macbook menu bar) it gets connected but doesn't play any sound.

This has been happening consistently. This was not an issue before i updated the device.

I need to toggle bluetooth on/off in order to get it connected and working.

My Airpods connect to my iPhone 12 just fine, but my Macbook never seems to be able to connect to anything with Bluetooth, even other speakers. How do I pair my old airpods to new MacBook Air Laptop consistently? Sometime there is pairing and sometimes it won't. Please explain if anyone has issues pairing airpods to MacBook Air laptop after Bluetooth is turned on and Apple I-phone bluetooth is turned off?

AirPods 4 (ANC) connected but no sound My (brand new, just out of the box) AirPods 4 (ANC) work on my iPhone, but not on my MacBook Air. They're connected, and videos and music play, but no sound from the AirPods. Here's what I've tried so far based on the suggestions based on previous posts from others: 1) Switching bluetooth off and then on again to reconnect AirPods. 2) "Forgetting" my AirPods on my MacBook Air and then reconnecting it again. 3) Updating and restarting my MacBook Air.
