How can I disable auto correct in the Notes app on iPadOS?

I use notes all the time. I am so sick of it trying to guess what I’m trying to do and just do what I type. I’m entering stock symbols and such. I don’t want it to auto correct, because obviously stock symbols are not words. Also how do I turn the auto period off after 2 spaces. Most times I just want 2 spaces not a period.

You can disable the automatic insertion of a period (.) from iPad settings:

Settings > General > Keyboards > "." Shortcut - set to OFF

looks like you can’t do that app specific. But I can always turn it back on for email and such.
