"no signal" when trying to play certain content on Youtube or Max apps with Apple TV 4k A2843

I've been having this issue for a while now. Currently running 18.0 of tvOS. Here's what I've tried: Swapped the HDMI cable from my Apple TV to my receiver for a new Belkin High speed cable, swapped the cable from the receiver to the LG OLED65B8PUA TV with a new High Speed cable, adjusted the settings on the LG to match the Dolby Vision settings on the Apple TV, tried multiple different HDMI ports on the LG TV. Tested other devices such as UHD disc players... this ONLY happens with the Apple TV and it only happens on certain apps and only SOME of the content... mostly Youtube and the Max app (the show Last Week Tonight is a particular problem, I've noticed). Movies on Max seem to play fine. I assume the Apple TV is changing the signal it's sending out when I'm playing from these apps but I am at a loss as to how to set the LG TV to compensate for this. (word of advice for anyone with an LG, once you've set things the way you like, make sure to choose SET FOR ALL INPUTS, or your settings may not stick!). Anyone have any other clues? Every time I think I have adjusted a setting on the LG that fixes the problem, it comes back the next time I turn on the TV, receiver and the Apple TV.
