ipados 18 has slideshow disappeared?

HOPELESS!!!

I had my slideshow all worked out to my set speed (SLOW) for a production I was doing. When my ipad updated last week, Slideshow is missing the editing functions!! Can't pick & choose transitions & speed...Show now on hold for me!!

Apple: Please show me one satisfied user, happy with this NEW Slideshow. Or, check out all these comments and PLEASE BRING BACK THE OTHER VERSION!!!!!!!!

I have to agree Slideshow has been downgraded, why remove origami it was brilliant for showing lots of photos in a

mixed format and it made it more interesting to watch. The new one is inferior, does Apple ask customers what they like best? Bring it back. Please.

I totally agree. The original slideshow was perfect. I would never have bought a new iPhone. Thought the slideshow feature was included and part of the photos app. I really truly am . We pay so much for these phones, and now I can’t make slideshows that include the videos , the best party of my slideshows.

After my husband passed away I spent many hours over several weeks creating a memorial slideshow of photos spanning many years of happy memories to which I added my own music that meant something special to us both. The iOS 18 update has destroyed those cherished memories and I can’t even recreate it. I am devastated. The new app is useless. Please change it back Apple. The functionality on the updated version is zero.

So glad I stumbled on this thread. I’ve been struggling to figure out how to play slideshows after “upgrading’ to ios18. Memories is excruciating and at least I’m glad to know I’m not alone! It’s shocking how the engineers at Apple would just eliminate the simple slideshow feature many of us have been using for years. I tried using another app which was simple but then it exports a video so not very convenient. Does anyone know of an extension or another solution that would do the job easily?

This seems to me to have been a widely used feature on IOS. I am now using an annoying and under developed programme that is costing me a monthly fee. Please Apple, just bring back the old, straightforward and highly effective Slideshow feature for IPad, you will make a lot of users happy again

Since last year, we’ve been attending trade shows, so I bought two iPads to play a slideshow. But after the slideshow update, the photos no longer fill the screen properly, the time is displayed, and everything is a mess. I only use it for slideshows, so what am I supposed to do now?!!!

What happened to the adjustable speed for slideshow? I can’t find it and the default speed is much too fast! Apple, please restore this feature! It’s useless now. If there’s any text, you can’t read it before it changes.

some tech drone at apple just copy pasted the old instructions for slideshow without having been informed that it does not work

Thx for that explanation . Yes! They need to retire it asap. The one that is in place now is TERRIBLE! I don’t & wont use it!

Agreed...I deeply regret udating to IOS 18. The slideshow function is not as you noted and I to vote for it to be restored to the better prior version!

PLEASE RESTORE ORIGINAL SLIDESHOW. Replacement is vastly inferior and frankly, well below the bar set by Apple for the iPad years ago.

Bring back the slideshow. It was simple, easy and useful. No need to take it away. I hate this entire update. Hate it.

Apple, please, for the love of DOG restore the customizable slideshow!!!
