ipados 18 has slideshow disappeared?

I placed my photos into Keynote slides and was able to control speed, transitions, etc the way I wanted there. Create a presentation, tap the down arrow next to the presentation name, then Presentation Options, Presentation Type. Not ideal, but it’s one work-around.

I think you may have misunderstood the nature of this discussion community. We are not Apple; we are just users like you. Some of us hang around here from time to time in case our experience may help someone. Apple isn't likely to read any of this.

Here's a hint: you're more likely to get results by being polite and serious, and clearly stating your concern. Lay it out neatly and concisely, and, most of all, don't use all caps. Try to keep in mind that the person who reads your post probably is in no way connected with the cause of your rant, but you'd like them to get your concerns to the right place.

They removed the standard Slideshow and replaced it with an inferior memory maker that has none of the functionality of the original. I wasn’t using the Slideshow because I wanted a movie generated with random transitions, senseless cropping, no speed control, and automatically added/saved to my Memories. Apple: please RESTORE THE ORIGINAL SLIDESHOW! There was no need to change this feature!

Unfortunately, even with those personalization options, it’s still a huge disappointment. The options for adjusting the crop or enabling a full bleed or fill to screen along with the transitions are gone.

I’m an artist and my paintings I have in the photo album and I like slideshows where I can see the progression of each painting session and the development from the conception to the final peace since the latest update they completely eliminated the slideshow. I don’t like the movie thing it’s jumping all over the place. It’s editing and cropping all my paintings. It’s horrible. I am very disappointed with Apple products thank God I don’t have an iPhone. Please restore the original slideshow I always use it professionally and I can’t use this other thing jumping all over the place.

I have been using the Slideshow function for a long time and I don’t understand why Apple deleted it… such a wrong decision. The photos move too fast and there is no way to customise. I wish I didn’t update the system on my iPad! Please reconsider adding it back.

Origami slideshow has DISAPPEARED!!!!

What happened to it.IOS18 no longer has the slideshows that were previously featured. The new one is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! Pls consider bringing it back. It seems I’m not the only one upset by its removal.

I am a photographer, and I have a couple of complaints! One is that you took away my ability to access photo albums for social media posts. I know this is a third-party feature, but it was helpful for your users. But now you've really done it! You took away the slideshow feature and left me with something I have absolutely no creative control over. I like not having everything done for me in a very uncreative fashion. Please consider reinstalling these features. Does everything nowadays only get worse? I used to love my Mac! Please don't make me have to consider other computer options.

Yup. The OS 'upgrade' destroyed the functionality of Slideshow in Photos. I will NOT be upgrading my other devices to 15.0.1 until they fix it.

I hate the new memory movie format they replaced slideshow with. It is especially bad when I want to slideshow videos that I’ve created. Go back to the old format or tell us how we “Un-update” ios18.

The new photos slideshow is annoying (ipadOS 18.1.1)! I like my slideshow without music and without a forced Ken Burns effect.

Apple, please restore the original slideshow!

It was very simple before this update and worked beautifully. Now, I am unable to change the speed of the slideshow. It’s custom because I chose my own photos. Also slideshow no longer fills the screen on the tv when I do airplay. This was not a problem before. I appreciated the Ken Burns effect and all the other options that were previously available also.
