apple watch deleting text messages from my phone after downloading WatchOS 11

I was hoping for a fix/update by now. But I agree. I use my phone for work. I keep messages on my new iPhone 16pro because I work with physicians and patients. Now I have keep all those messages on my watch. Where before I would just have messages from my family members on my watch. Its is so annoying. Ever since this new IOS update, apple programming jacked up the original configuration.

I may be officially done with Apple. I don’t like this New update to my watch. I would like to reserve the right to delete messages off of my watch and not have it wipe my phone out. This is incredibly frustrating and it is not helpful to me. And apparently, according to Apple, there is no fix for this situation

Now when you go to recover text on your phone after you delete them on your watch, they go back on your watch. VERY Frustrating. This needs to be fixed, big time.

@Woobie51, I don't have text message forwarding turned on, so that can't be what is causing it. Thank you for the information. I think they just don't know what is causing it.

When I tested this with Apple, the same thing happened. It is definitely not a iCloud sync issue.

This is a major issue that needs to be addressed. VERY frustrating!!!
