"Allow" to give permission for VPN

I'm using a 2020 M1 MBP running macOS Sequoia. I've downloaded my VPN app Surfshark and trying to connect. I get a message saying it needs permission to connect, but I can find where the normal "Allow" button is located to give the app permission to connect. macOS sequoia has changed the privacy and security pane. I've added a screen shot, but I can't seem to find where to give this app the permission it needs. Thank you in advance for any help

Oh, that screenshot is not from your Mac. Contact the developer for instructions.

I also recommend reading Don't use VPN services.

In case you're interested I read about Wireguard on their website. Among all its technical minutia, they don't make any claims that are not true, but I am left with a question: Why? That Github "gist" (since that's what they call it) asks the same question. Unless you can answer it, and can articulate valid reasons for using one... then Don't use VPN services.
