ipad and ipad pro airdrop doesn't see my other devices

my iPad and iPad Pro don't see each other, or my MacBook Pro or my iPhone. Both the iPhone and MacBook can send to the iPad and iPad Pro. May wife's apple products can send to all of my products. My iPads do not see her apple devices. Text messaging works but decreases the quality of the media files I wish to transfer. I have done everything that has been suggested but nothing has worked. I believe it has to be with my iPads since my wife's iPads work fine.

Hi SirMango ,

I'll assume that the iPads are near each other in Bluetooth & WiFi range .

In the General settings on the iPads , check that Airdrop is set to receive from contacts only or everyone . The sender's email address has to be in the Contacts app of the receiver unless you choose everyone . This article will help you :

What happens when you try and Airdrop ? Does a message appear , do you see the recipients ?

One more quick read : settings > general > Airdrop > underneath the choices , tap

learn more , see if anything there helps .

If the settings on all four of your devices are correct , it's unusual that you can't Airdrop between your devices .

Update to iPad OS18 .

Here's a user guide for iPad , look at the table of contents and choose a category related to Airdrop :
