I can't access Apple Cash on iPhone 13 Pro after iOS 18 update

updated to iOS 18 yesterday and everything in my Apple wallet appears fine but I cannot use Apple Cash or access it. Asks me to set up and I do and it says it’s complete then the same thing over and over again. Restarted my phone today and still nothing. I have money I cannot access

I had the exact same issue. I found this page and followed the directions and for whatever reason it worked. I did it slightly different though (as follows):


  1. Go Into Settings, Language and Region and make sure it's USA and English for the language (if that's your info)
  2. Go to Wallet and Apple Pay in settings and toggle Apple Cash off
  3. (Go to settings, don't just use Control Center to) Turn on and off airplane mode
  4. Restart your device
  5. Go to Wallet and Apple Pay in settings and toggle Apple Cash back on
  6. Go to the Wallet app and try to set up Apple Cash once again

I have the most updated system 18.2 and I’m having the exact same issue. Suddenly Apple Cash isn’t working (my cards in the Apple wallet are fine)

I tried all the steps listed and also logging in and out of my id to see if it worked and nothing. I’m in a constant loop of having to set up, I click set up and it takes me back to previous set up menu. I’m always using Apple Cash and have money I no longer can access until this is fixed

I had the exact same issue with my iPhone 13 Pro and tried the 6 steps. No change.

After trying a few other things, I checked for software updates in Settings. None showed up as pending, but after clicking on it iOS 18.2.1 appeared. Installing it fixed the problem.
