Audio mix settings do not work on my iPhone 16 Pro

Not sure if you have fixed this yet, but I just spoke with Apple, had to do a settings reset and it fixed my issue, go to settings-general, scroll down to transfer or reset iPhone - reset-reset all settings. Worked for me!

I found solution, Settings/Camera/Record Sound

there need to be on “Spatial Audio” to be able to change sound while editing wideo.

I had faced similar issues before. To resolve them, I simply reset everything. You can do this by going to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings. Don’t worry about losing your data. This is just a normal reset, and none of your data will be deleted.

If this method doesn’t work for your device, you may need to reformat your phone using a laptop. Disclaimer: This process will erase your data, so make sure to back everything up first. If you’re subscribed to iCloud, your data should be safe.

This issue is happening only when you have headphones connected while viewing a video edited for audio mix. Playing through speakers works fine. Hopefully it gets fixed in future updates.

I also have the problem. To be more specific, when I set the audio mix to anything else than standard it ”works” like so:

iphone speaker: working

iPods 2 Pro: working

Airplay to Apple TV: NOT working

Bluetooth Audio speaker: NOT working

USB-C Digital Audio Converter (With stereo headphones): NOT working

(all NON Working outputs work fine with standard setting).

I don't think you have understood the problem correctly. It's not about being able to edit the sound, it's about being able to play back the video and actually hear the sound if the sound has been changed to anything else than standard. So, maybe you simply don't have the problem. It seems like a some people are not affected by it or have had it resolved with a few restarts or soft reset of the phone.

Mine was already set for SA, but I still have the issue, if I switch the audio mix it won't play when I'm using headphones, but plays normally on the phones speakers. If I revert back to original then it plays in the headphones.

It's not clear what you mean by headphones and speakers. What kind of headphones? What speakers? iPhone speakers or externally connected speakers?

For me it works with Apple Airpods and through the iPhone built-in speakers, but other speakers (bluetooth) and headphones connected to the iPhone to the USB-C port (using a DAC) does not work. Streaming to an Airplay device, like an Apple TV does also not work.

Same to me Audiomix settings do not work on my Iphone 16 plus.

It’s not responding to any changes and it doesn’t want to play back the video. Only when I switch back to standard the video plays again.
