I know it is old but I wanna replace my Hard disk to SSD!!!

Dear community members, I have MacBook Air 2017. I m going to start my master degree in a week. That's why i want to change my disk. But i heard some samsung evo ssd's are not well compatible with apple devices.


I just wanna get answers from who repair his/her own device? Which brands which SSD could be best for my MacAir 2017.

If it is a 2017MacBook Air you can still upgrade your internal storage. However, it is an Apple proprietary SSD and only a very few manufacturers make them. The best source is OWC and you can see the selection of drives here:

I will provide the following additional thoughts. You can easily connect the SSD with a vendor provided USB cable. I recommend that you first reformat it using Disk Utility. Do not use any vendor provided maintenance apps. They always cause problems and should be deleted. You will find a substantial operating speed improvement with the SSD.
