My iPhone is working just fine with iOS 18 as it is for many, though as with any upgrade some people have experienced problems. The chances of everything going smoothly as well for you are good, though if there are apps you depend on, you should confirm that they are properly compatible with iOS 18 or that updates are available before up upgrade. Making a backup first is also always recommended.
