iOS 18 won’t process Dolby Digital 5.1

After updating my Apple TV, Dolby Digital 5.1 stopped working and only PCM came through the speakers. For non-Atmos recordings and TV, the majority of material is Dolby Digital 5.1. Please fix this error, and if possible, make it so that all Dolby sound is processed automatically without needing to toggle the sound back and forth.

How do I fix E/ARC sound issues after updating to tvOS 26.1 on Apple TV 4K? Latest apple tv 4k with Lg g3..running the tvos 26. All fine and dandy. Some silly reason i decided to update Tvos 26.1, then boom all e/arc sound gone. Went into audio settings changed format to 16 bit and stereo. Pulled power and hdmi out to reset handshake.. still nothing. Had the same issue 2/3 updates previous. Changed lg sound in tb settings to tv (its working on everything bar E/Arc). Surround sound (5.1 ch) broken except Apple TV app on Apple TV Box I've spoken to an Apple tech, but we couldn't find a solution. After the latest update, I noticed that Netflix, Disney+, Stan, and Prime Video no longer deliver surround sound (5.1ch). Interestingly, the Apple TV app plays surround sound without any issues. I also tested all my apps (as above) on LG TV, and all of them play 5.1ch sound perfectly. I also tried changing the "Audio Format" to 5.1ch on my Apple TV, but that didn't work either. Since the Apple TV app on my Apple TV Box produces surround sound and the other apps don't, I wonder if there's an issue with the latest update. Has anyone else experienced similar issues?
