So thank you very much for all the advice. In the end, wpn did it, I had avast antivirus installed, which wouldn't let me print, interestingly, it didn't even say why it didn't want to print. I uninstalled everything, turned off the VPN and it goes through the app, so thanks again for all the advice :D

Thank you for the information.

I understand that printing works with your old iPhones, but here are just a few things to double-check.

  • First of all, would it be correct to assume that both new iPhones can be used in a normal way via the Wi-Fi network provided by your Mercusys MR50G router (for example, to access the Internet via a web browser)?

  • Have you checked that the router is not set to block certain devices/traffic/protocols?

  • You are not using a VPN app on the iPhones?

  • This is a dual-band router. Modern routers often use "smart" device discovery and automatic band selection. This can sometimes be a problem, and may require manual band renaming/splitting.

  • If necessary, one can also carry out a quick comparative test with a temporary Ethernet cable connection between the printer (the HP OfficeJet Pro 8120e has an Ethernet port) and one of the LAN ports of the router. Ethernet may be more stable, and would rule out some of the difficulties related to Wi-Fi.

  • AirPrint works with wireless (Wi-Fi) or wired (Ethernet) network connections. So, a printer may use Ethernet while iPhones are wirelessly connected to the router.

You could begin by testing a full power-cycle sequence (in this order, do not forget the router):

Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, all iPhones, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the iPhones and all other devices/computers.

If this does not lead to a change, please post back with information about the exact printer model as well as the type of Wi-Fi router (do not post any serial numbers or access codes).

There are no settings to change. If restarting the devices does not work, then it would indicate that your phone is not connected to the same WiFi network, but it seems you have checked your network as well. There are only 2 other things I could suggest with it only happening on 1 device and that device is connected to the same Wifi:

  • Force Restart the phone - This may take a couple of attempts to get the speed and sequence of the key presses correct and the last step of holding the side button until the Apple logo appears could take up to 15 seconds. Ignore anything else you see on the screen until the logo appears.

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

  • Reset Network Settings - You will need to enter your WiFi password again when you first login, but many times this will help with communication problems. You can jump to step 7 in this Support Article:

good day, it didn't help, I have an hp 8120e printer and a mercurys mr50g router.but on other phones, iphone 10,11,13, it works without problems, I have 2 iphone 15 and it doesn't work on either of them, I think that only some settings need to be changed, but I don't know what . thank you for any advice, I don't know what to do anymore

hallo I have already done everything you describe on the same wifi, all the networks have been reset in the iphone as well... I even found that the network needs to be set so that it is not private in the wifi settings, I also tried that and it didn't help, I bought a new iPhone 15 and it does the same thing I'm already desperate for help
