How to prevent my AirPods Max from overheating?

My Airpods Max just boils my ears after 10-20 mins of use. My ears are literally red.

Airpods die very quick in cold/wind I’ve noticed recently that on my runs in freezing temps(~20°F) with winds at 15-20mph my AirPods die within 3 minutes. They are about 4 years old now but work perfectly fine all other times and usually the batteries last me a couple weeks. But I charged them to 100% 2 nights ago. Haven’t used them til tonight and the pods and the case dropped to 0. I was even wearing a beanie over them and the case was in my car. I know batteries have problems in the cold in general but does anyone else have this problem?

AirPods Pro 2 case smoking and burning without charging First noticed it yesterday (when it happened), got worse today even though I have not charged it since yesterday… Pretty much saying it got worse without being connected to an apple approved charger. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
