What causes delays in Apple Account password recovery processes?

What is the point of waiting days or weeks to reset password?

First I was told to wait for 24 hours for instruction to reset then I did it again and it now it says I have to wait 3 days. It seems the more I try the longer I will have to wait.

I'm still logged in into my account. The password did not saved into my password manager and it didn't let me do copy paste the first time so I manually typed it and somehow I cannot log into my other devices. It's pointless and doesn't make sense to wait that long.

I will not be buying Apple devices on my next upgrade.

You only have to wait that long if you are doing account recovery, Most people do not have to do that because they ensure they have a trusted device or trusted phone number. You only have a long wait if you neglected to maintain those items.

Realize that nobody on this forum works for Apple. I don't even have Apple stock. You can buy whatever devices you wish. Most companies are becoming pretty strict about account security though. I was recently checking Microsoft's site and they don't have anything if there's a deceased relative.
