I downloaded ios18 and now have no edit button on my photos in the gallery when I touch a photo. How do I get it back so I can use third party editing apps?

OK, guys, edit is sort of still around. The three lines, tap that, and it does appear down there where you can crop the picture, flip it, You can still put Text on a picture so agreed Tap on the three lines at the bottom. I left a crappy reply, saying I couldn’t find it and after reviewing again, I did find edit. It just doesn’t say edit. Three lines click there
What worked exactly, please - desperately need the edit button to return 🤬🤬🤬
The only opotion I get when I do that is "Flip photo" - nothing more
How do I edit my photos without an edit button. Not doing any more updates, wish I could cancel the last one!
i found the edit button now I don’t know how to change text and found
Not on mine I have to go to mark up and then hit the + sign and a few things come up. Text comes up but I can’t change it.

No edit button on photos:(. Now that I read all these messages, I’m afraid to check and see what else isn’t working :-( I did get some notice that says “we’ve made everything easier”. Yikes!!!😱
Apple does not care. Hundreds of complaints. No edit period.

Totally agree. I have my photos go to google photos also then edit them there. Apple is way off base.

Yeah I’m not updating now. I don’t want the new one, another way to screw us. I can’t even find my photos never mind edit them.
It only gives the option to crop and filter
