How to Resolve iPhone 16 Pro WiFi Connection Problems?

My iPhone 16 Pro won’t even connect to home WiFi.

Super frustrating.

I’ve restarted the phone, reset network settings, restarted my router (Unifi Dream Machine Pro) and no luck.

What a joke.

Have an old iPhone 8, X and 13 pro running on WiFi without issues.

I have the same issue! Called Apple and they were of no help. Tried literally everything and it is not working. My old phone works totally fine on my home WiFi and all of my other devices have no issues. It is the new iPhone 16 Pro that I am having major issues with.

Same think, iPhone 16 connected for a day or so and then "unable to connect to network" despite router reset, phone restart. I'm not running a VPN so that fix doesn't apply. My older devices connect, my Xfinity app shows all network devices working and I WAS able to connect to different network in another building. Any answers besides remove VPN?

This is absolutely ridiculous. We run four businesses and are all Apple device people and are completely debilitated right now with the wifi connection issues. We do not have any VPNs and have very high speed commercial wifi. We are in entertainment and run air bnbs and a spa. It’s absolutely terrible. We called Spectrum and blamed and they came and brought new equipment and speed tested everything because how could it possibly be our brand new iPhone 16 pro 1 tera?! The spectrum tech asked if we had new iPhones and said his wife has the SAME issue. This is a known problem. It’s all over the internet. How do you release a phone with issues this bad and if you do how do you not fix it promptly l?! Apple support acts like they have no idea and I finally told the guy to google it. Do better Apple and in the meantime please can someone help me with fix ideas? We’ve tried everything. Today both of our new phones are not only crap Wi-Fi when they do connect but aren’t even seeing my WIFI at all. Arrrrgh 😫

Troubleshooting iPhone WiFi:

This seems to be catching on. So,…

Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: to when this issue began, and how you have troubleshot it, thus far. Include the URL of this thread
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

I believe there seem to be two separate issues with WiFi on iPhone 16 (or iOS 18):

  • Wifi not working with a VPN installed. I had the same issue before, so I went ahead and deleted both the VPN app AND the VPN profile. I also tried a network reset. It seems to connect to WiFi
  • WiFi staying connected, but no internet

I have been experiencing the second issue and haven't found a solution till now. The WiFi is connected, and it does have an IP address. However, if I try to use the internet, it won't load any page. I can also understand that this is happening because I haven't been receiving any notifications in a while. As soon as I turn WiFi off, and then ON again, it works fine. Until 1 hour later, when this issue re-appears.

I've found myself turning WiFi off and on again, at least 5-8 times each day! And each time it's frustrating, because I am not receiving any push notifications or emails until I toggle wifi.

C'mon Apple, we NEED a solution for this! The same thing happens both to my, and my Wife's iPhone 16 pro max.

Wanted to share my experience regarding the issue I had with the wifi connectivity issues when I purchased a new iPhone 16 and I hope it helps anyone still frustrated with connecting to wifi (I was more then frustrated for almost a month - my home is pretty much an Apple Eco System and this was the first time I had issues with an Apple iPhone). I went from an iPhone 13 (never had an issue with connecting to wifi) to an iPhone 16 which constantly was dropping wifi, would not open web pages, would should low bars, would display no internet connection when there was. I spent time on the phone (hours and hours) with my internet service provider (who recommended a new phone or would try to upgrade my service to a faster one and I knew that was not the issue since most days the speed was well over 900GBS - upload and download), Apple did their diagnostic and could not find anything wrong with the phone. I do not use a VPN so I knew that was the not issue. I would turn off the iPhone, reset the phone, reset the network etc and nothing worked. Three days I found a Reddit forum and one of the users reported that they turned off Wi-Fi 6E Mode and it solved the problem (the iPhone 13 does not offer this) so I looked up issues with Wi-Fi 6E Mode and although it can offer faster internet deliveries with less signal interference, it was also reported it does have a shorter wavelength and it is not as good at penetrating walls and other obstructions. So I turned off the mode in iPhone 16 and since I have done that I have had ZERO issues connecting to wifi.
