Photos/videos cropped when sent from friends

I am trying to make a reel/video of my weekend using photos and video footage sent by friends. The photos appear ok when sent as I can open them and view the whole image but when I add them into the montage the top and bottom of the pictures have been cropped. Similarly with any video footage. So people’s head and legs are cropped out.

Sharing photos on social media Has anyone else noticed that since the new OS Ventura was released, the photo app does not work the same way it did prior to the release of Ventura? By that I mean, if I'm on social media and want to post a photo, before Ventura, the pull down menu gave me the option of using my photo library stream or Albums. Now, there is no option to scroll through my albums. Since I have over 35K photos, scrolling through ALL of them is impossible. I did talk a few months ago with Apple support and they confirmed there was an issue. Since then there has been an update of Ventura but this problem still exists. Anyone have a fix, or an idea or anything? This is not an issue on my Iphone, just on my Mac Book Pro.

Gifs becoming static photos? Is there a way to work around this? Every time I copy a gif straight from the source/app (like Tenor or Giphy) and then try to post it somewhere like social media, it becomes a static photo. I’ve even tried saving it to my camera roll and just uploading it to social media that way, but it still becomes a static photo. Any fixes?
