Apple Mail changing sending email account

When sending new email, if I change the sending email account, cannot access the default email signatures for that account. If I delete it, it can remains in the out box and flashes up every 5 seconds until I delete it from the out folder.

Even though I select the new email address in the "From" section, and have made my new email address the default "Send From" account in Apple Mail settings, after I press send, Apple Mail is reverting the send from email address to my old email address. Mail will be sent from wrong account Hello! I can't get this to work. It looks like a bug but I can't quite believe it since it's too obvious. I have setup multiple accounts in Apple Mail (IMAP). Each account has their own SMTP server to send emails. When I compose a new email I select the account from where I want the mail to be sent from. However, it will deliver the email from the wrong account! I tried several times, the email will always be delivered with the wrong sender account. It does work fine on the iPhone but it will not work on the Mac. I tried rebooting the machine, but the problem persists. What can I do?

Can Apple Mail ask me to choose an outgoing email address each time? I'm familiar with the settings for outgoing accounts (i.e. let Mail choose the best, or manually select the default) but I am desperately searching for a setting, plug-in or hack that will have Mail ask me each time to select which account. Is there anything out there? The issue is that if I'm in a hurry and click "new email" I forget to check which account it's sending from, and some clients get emails from me at a different company name where I subcontract. Maybe there's a way to simply setup a dummy or blank email account so it will fail to send unless I select the right account? (I'm struggling to figure this out since it needs to verify the settings of a new account.) Any other ideas or solutions (or plug-ins/add-ons) to this dilemma? Thanks!

I understand this but the email account I am switching to has signatures set up but cannot access them.

Mulling that, will try to come up ith a way to test it.

And it doesn't work to use the choose sig in the compose window?

Mail>Settings>Signatures... highlight All Signatures,drag the sig you want ^ drop it on the account youwish to use it on... each account can be set to any Sig.
