Shutter sound of iPhone 16 Pro bought in Japan, but primarily used in South Korea

I am planning to buy an iPhone 16 Pro in Japan but will be using this predominantly in South Korea with a South Korean sim card.

I have found conflicting information about this regarding older models, hence asking this particular question concerning the latest model, the iPhone 16 Pro.

  • Will there be a shutter sound when using a Japan-bought iPhone 16 Pro in Japan?
  • Will there be a shutter sound when using a Japan-bought iPhone 16 Pro in South Korea?
  • Will there be a shutter sound when turning on/off Live when taking pictures?
  • Does the sim card carrier country even play a role in whether the shutter sound is enabled by default or not?

Thanks!

My understanding is that all iPhones purchased in Japan must have the shutter sound enabled with no way to disable it, even in another country.

SIM cards on iPhones only provide carrier service information, not any other data such as device settings.
