First things first.

If you want to try to preserve all of the data on the failing Time Capsule disk, you need to connect a USB drive to the USB port on the back of the Time Capsule and use the Archive function in AirPort Utility to try to copy all of the data on the Time Capsule drive over to the USB drive.

That USB drive must be formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled). No need to use an SSD drive for this since since the port on the Time Capsule is USB 2.0, which is much slower than USB 3.0. A normal USB drive would be fine.

Or a poor man's NAS attached to a router is messy but I heard it works.

Take a look at the Synology routers. They all support Time Machine backups to a USB drive connected to the USB port on the router. So, no need to attach a NAS to a router.

In effect, instead of a one-piece solution like the Time Capsule.....which is a router with a built in hard drive.....you would have a two-piece solution, a router with a separate attached hard drive.

They are not cheap, but Synology also offers excellent NAS products, which you basically build to your own specifications.

Yes, I am in the process of doing it but I want to keep data of various Macs I have used over the years, and its messy creating backups for each Mac especially if I don't use them like my mid-2012 retina Mac that I never use but it might have some files that I might like to access later. So, I guess the questions then are:

A. What is the best way to retrieve its complete data

B. Can it be a network issue since I have changed my ISP (I am not sure if it started after that or not but it's around the same time).

C. Which other backup device/system should I use? ( I have various external SSDs but I cannot connect these to the main internet router for it to be able to be used by other family members and if connected to my Mac studio it will only be available when I start my Mac.

@Bob Thanks a lot

I did it successfully as you kindly explained to someone else named Ray previously on the community. Now what should I do for TM backups and storage solutions? NAS devices are expensive, but if you could recommend a cheaper one, that'd be great. Or a poor man's NAS attached to a router is messy but I heard it works. Other than that I am left with a device permanently connected to my mac for TM backup.
