New Stickers Disappear Immediately (iOS 18 Messages App)

My wife and I have 2 iPhone 15 pros. It works on one but not the other. Practically duplicate settings on both.

3rd level tech says it is a known issue for ios17 and 18, and we will see a fix in the next update. I just updated to 18.0.1, and still NO STICKERS will save.

Looks like the key to a successful transfer is to back up old iphone on laptop or pc (or maybe mac) and restore to new iphone from there. Direct transfer and use of iCloud seems to fail. After transfer to new iphone you have to change the name of the device from whatever you backed up from to name of new device and re-verify secure sign in on all apps, but that verification step is required no matter how you transfer.

FWIW, Apple Support claims to be working on a fix to be released in a future iOS update. When I called them, they said that they are aware of the issue, but they are not committing to any timeline like 18.1.01, 18.2, 18.2.1, etc. Since I have read forum user complaints about this or a similar issue dating back a year and occurring with iOS 17, I am not optimistic.

I am reluctant to proceed with the nuclear option (backup, erase, reset to factory, set up as new, restore from backup). It seems like a lot of effort for a feature that I rarely used and can replicate with third party apps. On the other hand, the fact that it is broken bugs me and I know that I could do this to fix it so, if they don’t fix this soon, I might cave.

Just installed newest 18 iOS beta update. No stickers. Went to my pics and created one. All of a sudden, my stickers began to populate. Fingers crossed they stay

Finally 18.2 fixed it. Only took months but it’s fixed

iPhone 13 mini, 18.2 brought all my missing stickers back 💯

This happened on my work unit. Set up a new for me 13 using quick transfer from my 11 while both were on 17.7. Then upgraded the 13 to iOS 18 and same issue with stickers no longer there after the upgrade and trying to add stickers they disappear after one second on the screen. I had hoped 18.0.1 would fix it but it didn’t and hopefully it will get fixed in a future update because the idea of having to erase the whole phone and restore everything to resolve it seems so ridiculous to me.

Stickers are back since iOS 18.2 update.

In messages, I tap the “+” then “Stickers” and all my stickers, old and new appears.

I can't find stickers in this discussion forum.

Stickers may appear depending on the app used.

Yeap Same here - iOS 18 on iPhone 16 Pro it is NOT working and on iPhone 12 Pro (also iOS 18) it is working.

Iphone 15 Pro Max here. As soon as I upgraded to this phone, and activated it December of 23 my stickers have been doing this. Apple support could not assist, and had me reset all settings with that not just giving me more to fix. Dont think its something we can fix on our end, just have to wait on Apple. I also have alot of devices, including family devices on my Apple ID, and I am wondering if that may have something to do with it like maybe settings from another device or something. Frustrating for this ridiculously expensive phone.

Stickers worked great on my 12 pro (iOS 18), and when I upgraded to the 16 PM I lost this functionality.

Saved stickers didn’t transfer from previous phone, and when trying to add new ones it animates the sticker being added to the collection but promptly disappears.
