How do I resolve macOS compatibility issues on my MacBook Pro?

I've checked the compatibility list for both Sonoma and Sequoia. Both show my MacBook on the list. (MacBook Pro 2018). Did a search for Sonoma, which to me directly to Sequoia download, which told me my computer is incompatible! And all because my system updates automatically upgraded to Ventura. (Some websites not fully loading, others deciding my login credentials are incorrect, despited being "saved" & can log in from any other device using the same ones.)
