Shortcut to if not automatically then guide me restore “allow call on other phone” settings after reset of any device of same Apple ID?
After iOS update to 18 my other iPhone and iPad no longer ring for incoming call of my iPhone. I called Apple support and was told to wait for next update. Due to importance of this feature, I cannot wait and try alternatives. Then somehow iPad starts to work but not my other iPhone which I then discovered it’s “allow call on other phone” keeps reverting back to off…
After few days wrestling on other iPhone , this morning after turning on location service for weather app, I checked FaceTime App and strangely I wasn’t logged in anymore. After login again, I am now able to turn on “allow call on other phone “ even without SIM card (I recalled description for “allow call on other phone” last night was somehow different prior to my recent FaceTime login). What caused me not login to FaceTime when I remember checking this before posting question on iOS 18 update?
After resetting iPhone, how to re-enable “allow call on other phone” is important. IMHO Smarter guidance from iOS or exact steps to re-enable “allow call on other phone” ASAP. Smart wearables are lesser alternatives in my use case…
Maybe I need to learn Apple way and forget the convenience of profile files of Microsoft Windows which can be used to restore settings after reset…
please help and thanks in advance.
