Apple Watch won't sync calendar colors with iOS

Hi!

I'm currently using an Apple Watch Series E 2nd gen with WatchOS 10 and an iPhone with iOS 18.

I'm having a hard time trying to sync the colors of my calendars on the iPhone with the colors on my Apple Watch. I two emails with calendars synced in the app: my icloud(color orange for events) and Outlook for work (color purple for events). However on the calendar app of my apple watch, while the icould events are in fact orange, the outlook events remain green for some reason...

I've tried delete and sync the email several times and it remains green... I've also turned my watch off and back on and it didn't work.

How can I solve this issue?

Thanks!

Well, after many tries because this was driving my crazy, I found a solution. I'll paste here a comment from the user jamie_shaw at Reddit in case I can't copy and paste links from other sources:

  1. Remove the account on iPhone settings under Mail (just toggle the calendar off, no need to remove the whole account, thanks u/VonBalls)
  2. Wait for the calendar to disappear from the watch
  3. Turn off the watch
  4. Go to the Watch app on the iPhone and go to General > Reset > Reset Sync Data
  5. Add the account back on Mail
  6. Fix the calendar colors in the calendars app on iPhone
  7. Wait for the iPhone calendar app to pull in all the events and make sure it's all good
  8. Turn the Watch back on and wait for it to sync

Regarding the first item on the list..... my calendar on my watch, and all of the other pages part of it are now a bright red, actually so dark and bright it is hard to read.... so following this I tried to change it.

For step #1 "Remove the account on iPhone settings under Mail (just toggle the calendar off,) " When I go to Settings/Apps/Mail on my iPhone, there is no green toggle button, all I have is "delete account" at the bottom

I have seen other suggestions to go to calendar and edit the colors, I have no edit option, on the phone, nor the watch.

What am I missing? Thanks!
