iPhone 16 Pro Freezes and Restarts

My iPhone 16 Pro 256gb was fine yesterday. This morning, it has been crashing constantly. The settings app and the calendar app are the worst culprits. Calendar just freezes, you cannot drill down to the day. The settings app just turns black and then crashes. Multiple times the whole phone restarts. I tried a hard restart to see if it was a cache issue. Didn't help. I turned off the wifi and that seemed to slightly help when using other apps. One time the settings app worked and I went to see the analytics logs. Lots of crashes in there and 1 kernel panic. Also, Siri is not responding; just hangs there with no response.

I spent 3 days transferring all the apps from my iPhone 13 Pro and do NOT want to reset it again. Getting an authenticator app configured with all my accounts takes hours. This is very disappointing.

Anyone have any thoughts or proven solutions? Thank you in advance.

After 24 hours of being stable, the issues are back. No updates no apps installed. All apps are unresponsive now and cause kernel panics.

This is ridiculous on a brand new phone.

My 16 pro max 512gb was working fine and today all the sudden it started freezing and turning off. Never had this happen with an iPhone.

I just had my first freeze… nothing worked. I tried to turn off the phone and nothing worked. After about two minutes it went away and all is well… for now.

My IPhone 16 Pro camera freezes and I have to shut off the phone and restart. This has happened 4 times in the last week.

Support had me go to settings - camera - Macro Control and turn it off. Do a hard boot and it seemed to fix it for now.

My iPhone 16 Pro Max is fine now, but had to book a genius bar appointment to solve the issues. Total reformat and reinstall, but it's such a great phone and camera.

Yes the phone had been fine since. Camera and everything else works fine.

Calendar app is always frozen (can’t add new events) & it also keeps repeating outdated Reminders that have long since been cancelled 😞 😭

When I called apple support, he told me that he thinks it is a software issue but had no solutions

I was on an XR company switched to a 16. It just crashed on me when I clicked on a phone number for it to dial, it rebooted the phone. It's on 18.0.1
