Advice Needed: Best MacBook Pro Upgrade for Adobe CC Workflows (M3 or M3 Pro Chip)?

Hi everyone,

I'm a graphic designer with over 15 years of experience, currently looking to upgrade my 2017 MacBook Pro. I primarily use Adobe Creative Cloud programs like Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, and I often run these simultaneously. My work involves handling large files, multitasking between these apps, and ensuring smooth performance for graphic-heavy tasks.

I'm debating between the new MacBook Pro models with the M3 chip vs. the M3 Pro chip. I’d appreciate any insights or recommendations on which one would be better suited for my workflow. Specifically, I'd like to know:

  • Does the M3 chip handle Adobe CC apps efficiently when running multiple programs at once?
  • Would the M3 Pro offer a noticeable performance boost for a graphic design workflow, or is the standard M3 sufficient?
  • Are there other considerations I should take into account, such as RAM or storage for optimal performance?

Thank you in advance for your advice!
