Iphone 16 pro battery seems so poor. I unplugged my phone at 9:15 am and by 4pm it had only 32% with 3hrs of screen time. I did my 0.5gb update hoping it will extend baterry life and upgrade functionality of my iPhone.
How is it possible? Anyone experiencing bad battery life as well?

I got my phone 16 pro like 2 months ago and it drops by one percent every 3 mins and it still shows 100 percent battery health
iOS 18.3 was released just 2 days ago have you updated your iPhone? Some users are reporting improved battery performance.
Could it be the fact the screen is on all the time is draining the battery? Can the screen be turned off when not in use?
You most likely have to get a new battery as apple recommends that if you battery health is lower than 80% then you should replace it
Hey I just got my iPhone pro 16 yesterday. I unplugged it from full
powrr and it’s down to 75% in 2.5 hours… that will give me 10 of power at this rate! Ridiculous. Can you share how you did the factory reset by computer? I don’t have a Mac so not sure if it would work for me but I would like to try. Does that also then totally reset the phone with none of my setup/downloads etc?
Just got the phone yesterday and I’m running into the same problem- battery drain - did all the settings change to limit battery consumption but still does not work - crazy that Apple did not test this properly and it happens for such an expensive phone in this day and age.

Thanks for the update. That is what is expected and unfortunately we don't get many updates here to confirm that. Some only post when they have a problem, but when it goes away, they don't come back.
I listened it a podcast for an hour or so in the morning, checked and replied to emails and texts throughout the day, and had a phone call. Typical use for me and I think about the same as my iPhone 13 when I traded it in.

That is correct. There is no return or exchange policy in India. That is true for all products purchased in India.
I've gotten my iphone 16 pro since Sept 20 and i am still facing the same battery drain issue.
I am a light user even that it can't last me a whole 20 hours.

Unfortunately I got my new iphone 16 pro a week ago and now I’m traveling in Japan, and the battery is draining quickly. One of the reasons I got it was for the prolonged battery life! And I don’t have the ability to do a factory reset using my MacBook or Mac computer with being in Japan!
It has been 3 days now since I got my iPhone 16 pro and I am blown away by the poor battery life. I believe all the updates and configuring as apple support stated is complete. The phone is no longer running hot. But the battery life is unacceptable. Thinking of returning it. Has this improved for anyone? If yes what did you do ?
