I've had my phone for 2 days and I've had very few issues but just now it turned itself off and on again and now the touchscreen is COMPLETELY unresponsive. I just cannot use it at all. I can't restart it. I tried to force restart with the buttons but it told me it would call the emergency services so I quickly put a stop to that. Is anyone else experiencing this?? (and found a fix?)

I have faced same issue. Phone was switched off automatically while browsing. Not sure it is because of hardware issue or software issue. Is there any solution for this issue?

I have the same issue with my iphone 16 just this morning when I was making QR payment (it just suddenly restart interrupting the process).. I have never experienced this with my old iphone 11, so please Apple maintain your standard..
I am having similar issues. I did the forced restart and got my phone to come back on, but its happened at least 5 times this morning.

Thank you! After holding the side power button for 2 minutes, it came back on. After reading this discussion I want to switch to a lower model that's more stable. For the amount of money the phone costs, this is unacceptable!

As stated in an earlier post, having tried the forced restart to no avail, Apple tech support were great via live chat and talked me through a phone restore through my laptop. It failed, so in my case it was declared a faulty hardware issue and my phone carrier provided me with a new handset. I have had it for several weeks now and have had no issues with it at all. Apple were very apologetic and helpful and have dealt with the issue brilliantly.

Well, I've now been on Apple's live chat on support and they talked me through doing an iPhone restore from the laptop and it didn't work so it looks like I have a faulty device.
Just an update, it’s been a week and my iPhone hasn’t shut down unexpectedly since I last reported the issue, fingers crossed the issue is resolved.. loving this phone, upgraded from XR!!
I experienced this issue the 2nd time today when using another app .. I hope there’s nothing wrong with my device since I don’t wanna spend time exchanging a new one
