No instruction papers with iPhone 16 pro max
i recently preordered an iPhone 16 pro max and received it on release day, yet it did't come with the instructions papers, it’s not a big deal but is that normal?

Same I thought it was odd
Nothing odd about it all. Apple hasn't included any guide or anything important in iPhone boxes or for that matter, most other device boxes for some time. In some countries, there are two little oval pieces of paper with regulatory information, which is not something anyone will likely read and like myself, disposed of in the recycle bin. In some countries, no pieces of paper are included at all.

Yes, there are no instructions provided with Apple devices. If you need info, visit Manuals, Specs, and Downloads - Apple Support

Not really instructions, but those little papers that come with products, every unboxing video I’ve seen has them under the charging cord/sim pin holder
Apple has stopped including anything not essential in the box. They even stopped including the Apple stickers. It's part of their sustainability initiative.

I know about the stickers, but maybe it’s some Australian law about those booklets that’s why, will see if it’s the same on mate’s one when it arrives
Why does it matter?
I picked up my Watch 10 on Friday. There was nothing in the box but the cardboard packaging, the watch and the cable. The same was true with my iPhone last year. And my MBP and iPad this year.
