Since the update to iPadOS 18 some newly created passwords are not being saved

I have a similar problem, however even if I use a generated password by pressing the fill and save button, it doesn’t update the password in the password app, so when I try to log into website afterwards ,it auto fills my old saved password instead of the new one.

if I go into passwords I can find the new auto generated password under the title of recently generated passwords, I then have to copy it, paste into website and then I get the box confirmation to update password in keychain.

Very frustrating!

Yep go into password app, select all, then you get a list of all the websites/passwords, go to the one you have recently changed, and it will be in the list for that site under the title recently generated password.
