Lightning to Digital AV Adapter needs more power

Hi

I have an adaptor for letting my iPad and iPhone 11 send pictures to my Tv and has worked fine since purchase on both devices . I updated the phone and iPad to 1OS 17 and then IOS 18 and now I get the following message when connecting either one as follows

Cannot Use

Accessory

Lightning Digital AV

Adapter: This accessory requires too much power.

i assume this is a fault with the latest updates as I had no issue prior to the update

Is apple going to provide an update to resolve
