Having Wi-Fi issue in my iPhone 12 Pro Max after updating to new iOS

Had similar issues on upgrading to new iPhone 16 Pro Max. Initial restoration went fine and then WiFi would not connect/stay turned on. Used online Support chat and they could not resolve. Went for Genius Bar appointment and Apple technician resolved within minutes - had installed Microsoft Defender which was toggled on to Connect On Demand. This was blocking all apps downloads. Changed toggle/switched off and eureka, now connecting and downloading. Good luck to all.

I had same issue on iphone 13. Resolved by disabling my VPN and then reconnecting to Wi-Fi.

Fixed mine by turning off the VPN. waiting for 18.1 update … and don’t update laptop until sime time passes too. **** these new-school Apple. After loosing Steve Jobs all these new workers should loose jobs. They bring shame to Apple!

same here, every video I saw on YouTube said to try some BS that I knew would not work, "resetting phone or Wi-Fi settings" and whatnot. So I look at my pc Wi-Fi setting and turn on mobile hotspot. Everything worked fine. Then the next day I use the regular Wi-Fi, "not the hotspot" and it would finally stay connected. Not sure why this worked but it did and I’m not complaining.

Hi, the solution I found was to reset my home router, so far it seems to be working 🤞

iOS 18 has made my WiFi almost unbearably slow. Takes so long to even load images on Twitter, videos started to lag, didn’t have these issues before the update.

Updated to IOS 18 on my iPhone 15 pro and it has been a disappointment. Constant wifi/internet issues, App store wont load or slow and find my iPhone is broken. Only fix I find is to repeatedly force restart.

As a consumer I was prepared to pay more for Apple as it was known for its reliability. But overtime I think the quality has slipped and is now overpriced.

iPhone 12 Pro and I just started having wifi issues when upgrading to iOS 18.

my cellular connection at home is horrible so when the wifi does not work my phone feels like it had no connection at all. Multiple ubiquiti APs covering my home, so the coverage for wifi issues not the issue. Every now and then I have to turn wifi off and on and try to get it to work again.

this happened zero times before upgrading, no changes to my home network and all other devices work fine.

I updated my phone to the iOS update almost 1 week ago, & my internet connection has been absolutely the worst since. I contacted my internet provider they reset everything. I reset my phone, I reset the router & im on day 5 not being able to connect to Wifi consistently. Apple needs to fix this update expeditiously cause this is ridiculous.

I too am having wifi issues!! It says I’m connected, but every once in a while there are glitches, freezes, etc. I can’t use any apps or webpages without it freezing. Support had me restart my network settings but that didn’t work, they did a diagnostic run for 24 hours and that also didn’t work. It’s getting frustrating because I work from my phone and can’t get anything to work without it pausing to load every 30 seconds.

I updated my iPhone 16 to iOS 18 on the 26th sep. After the update, my phone won’t connect to wifi. It shows “no internet connection”under the wifi name. I have tried every solution stated online but to no avail. Any suggestions pls?

After updating my phone iPhone 13, my phone cannot connect to WiFi. I took it to the store and it was connecting well while I was at the store, so they could not diagnose it at the store. I did reboot and still no luck.

Same issue here. I try to wait a while before grabbing these updates, but ahhh, it always gets me.

certain apps like WhatsApp work just fine while Safari will not load webpages.

At this rate, I think Apple needs to give users the option of reverting to previous iOS versions.

Same issue for last stable ios 18.0.1 and previous betas. Mac mini after sleep loses bluetooth connection to keyboard on latest stable ios. For years apple devices have been plagued by wifi and bluetooth connection issues, apple’s QA department is understaffed or not prioritized in SDLC, get you act together already.

Did you find a solution? I’m having the same issue since updating. WiFi will connect but no internet connection. It’s working on all other devices.
