Stop text auto fill suggestion pop ups when I'm typing

I would like to keep the predictions that show up at the top of the keyboard, but I really dislike the pop-ups that show up on the screen that I'm typing on. Can't find any way to turn that off. Does anyone know how to do this?

How do I turn off PREDICTIVE TEXT in Pages?? I searched for this answer in "google" and all of the Apple Community Discussions got me nowhere. So, this is for those who are still wondering how to turn off the Predictive Text, which is really annoying for some of us. Simply click on your APPLE logo (top left of your screen), click on System Settings (first choice), click on Keyboard (toward the bottom on my list), and in the Text Input options, click on Edit... to turn on and off your preferences. From iPad settings:

Settings > General > Keyboard > [All Keyboards]

Predictive Text - set to ON
Show Predictions Inline - set to OFF
