Is there a way to start typing on a pop-up menu in numbers and have it fill rather than having to always use the mouse? If not does Apple look at feedback from this forum to update its products.

If the cell has a pop-up menu attached, you can hit the spacebar to display the popup, then type to select an item from the menu, followed by a Return/Enter.
