Normal use, but noticed when I press the action, volume or any button on the sides (with the screen on), the button press “indents” the image on the screen. It appears the button press “squeezes” the screen. Anyone else have this issue? See the left part of the screen in this pic:

It's new, thus a new feature. And yes, it's not a defect in your phone. Everyone who has iOS 18 on their iPhone will see these, which most certainly don't bother me and do let me see I've pushed one of the buttons on the side of my phone.

I think it's a feature of the new IOS. I just updated my 13 and it's doing the same thing. My husband's work phone, also a 13, doesn't and it's still on the old IOS.

It is a new feature with iOS 18 and all it's doing is highlighting which button you have pushed on your iPhone.
Didn't notice it until you brought it up, but yes, the same thing happens on mine.
