Since IOS18 launch

I have experienced issues with Game Mode

searching I’ve seen others also have problems.

After some apps are launched, Game Mode automatically runs. This might affect other running apps, for example playing a game while streaming music.

The Control centre solution I’ve found on the web doesn’t appear on my iPhone.

It would be useful to have per app options for game mode. For example if my streaming music app could run with Game Mode OFF would be my preference, currently it is muted while playing a game.

Embarrassingly this had a simple fix

when displayed, press the Game mode on screen bubble , toggle on / off the app. Once closed , then reopened the app reflects the users last choice.

I also found that the control panel option Still didn’t show Game Mode. In my humble opinion, Apple has some changes to simplify this in the next version

There should be a system setting to turn off game mode. I don’t need what game mode does to play a crossword puzzle! Why Apple continues to force thing on everyone for just the few. If I’m that serious about a game I would play on a console and large tv!
