Streaming apps not working after iPadOS 17.7.10 update on iPad

I have an iPad 6th Gen. Just updated to 17.7.10 as the BBC Sounds app would not work unless I updated the iOS.

After the update it seems all streaming apps apart from YouTube no longer work / Sky Go / ITVX / iPlayer even BBC Sounds!

I've done a hard reset / download the apps again / reset network settings.

No luck - the update has killed the iPad ;-(

If you have a VPN App or profiles installed, or a security App such as Norton, these may be interfering with the iPad's network connection. If applicable, the resolution is usually simple; you may need to temporarily disable or remove the Security App and/or VPN - and then perform a forced restart of your iPad:

Force restart iPad - Apple Support

If this resolves your issue, the VPN and/or security App can be reinstated after the connectivity problem has been resolved.

If some Apps are working as expected, while others are not - or other devices can connect to your WiFi network - you may find that a restart of your WiFi Router, followed by a restart of your iPad will clear the problem….

To restart your router, disconnect power from the router for at least 30 seconds - then reconnect power to restart. After your router reboots (which may take several minutes), force restart your iPad as before.

If you continue to have difficulties, you would be well advised to seek assistance from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page. Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

The OP doesn’t need to a force restart if the iPad is still responding and not locked up. Just a simple restart is only needed.

Not so...

A simple shutdown and restart, as you advocate, will preserve the faulting network stack - whereas a forced restart will re-initialise both the network stack and associated App(s).
