Apple watch series 10 42mm battery drain issue

I just purchased apple watch series 10. It was fine for 2 days or may be i didnt notice. I am using minimal watch face without second hands, dark but still I observed, in last 20 minutes my battery drained from 100% to 88%. That was very strange. My watch is updated to the latest version of watch os 11.

Someone please suggest what should I do now?? There is no point in activating low power mode, whats the use then to purchase series 10.

The day following an Apple Watch software update, Power cycle the Apple Watch.

Wait 24 hours, then Power cycle the Apple Watch again.

If the Apple Watch does not settle into a normal power usage, then unpair the Apple Watch, and pair it again.

After that contract Apple support.

I got my Series 10 on Friday, set it up Saturday. It took awhile to transfer all my old Series 4 settings, watch faces, contacts, music, etc… before it would settle down.

And yes I did the power cycling tricks on Sunday and Monday. It is now Wednesday evening, and I have 70% charge after using it all day.

Hi Bob,

I figured out the actual reason. I have both macbook and i phone so i have switched on auto unlock feature when your apple watch is on the wrist. It constantly make secure connection connection with mac and i phone above normal bluetooth connectivity.

I switched off from both macbook and I phone. Now my watch battery life is fine. Roughly giving me a day and a half on casual usage and a day on heavy usage. Just hoping if apple rolls out an update to optimise this secure connection battery drain on watch

Thank you for providing your findings to Apple, using the Feedback.

Looking at the "Battery draining" posts in these communities, there seem to be multiple possible reasons for this issue. Let's hope that Apple is already working on a solution.
