After doing the 18 Ios update, I'm getting my wife's text messages. We do share iTunes account but have not had this problem before. How do we fix that?

Not only will you get each others text messages, but your call logs are joined and you'll have access to each others voicemail. For more than a decade Apple has told us NOT to share the same Apple Account. If you don't want your data shared, you need to follow the good advice sberman provided.

Also, you might want to read this article, written by a well respected forum member (Lawrence Finch), which gives you detailed directions how to unshare an Apple Account --> How to “unshare” an Apple ID - Apple Community
