Face ID not working

All of a sudden my Face ID is not working on my iPhone 12.

I tried a software update, which didn’t change anything. When I go to Face ID and Passcode in settings it doesn’t give me an option to reset the Face ID, only to set it up. When I try to set it up it won’t do it, it just says to ‘move iPhone a little lower’. No matter what I do it doesn’t change from that message.

Please help!
