Importing to AppleTv

I have created e-versions of some of my DVDs and want to include them in my digital library. These files are now Mp4 files. when I import them, they automatically go to the HomeVideo folder and I can't move them to the movie folder of my library. What I am doing incorrectly and how can I fix this issue?

Thank you.

Mac Studio, macOS 14.6

By Apple TV do you mean the Apple TV app on your Mac? Or an Apple TV streaming box connected to your TV?

For the Apple TV app on your Mac, you may need to mark the mp4 files as "Movies". In the TV App, find the videos you want to mark as Movies, and click on the (...) icon, then on Get Info, and then on Options. From the Media Kind drop down, select the "Movie" type. It should immediately move the video from "Home Videos" into the "Movies" section.
