If you haven't tried a force reset, you should do so. ⇢

  • Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  • Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  • Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo (this takes around 10 seconds).

If your issue is still persisting, make a reservation at your nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to get in-person support. ⚛️

Hi.

I was desperate like you. I followed nevertheless an advice from an apple tech. And it seems to work.

I had to instal a profil for my work which I did the first day after transferring from my old IPhone.

This morning I uninstalled the profil and reinstalled it.

until now I had non more issues with the camera. Hope it’s going to keep that way…

I worked with Apple phone support and we ran a few hardware test and there was no issue there. They had me go to Settings - Camera and turn off "Macro Control" (scroll to very bottom) and then do a hard boot. Volume Up, Down and right button. It is not the ultimate fix for an obvious software issue but it did work for me! I was able to use my camera multiple times with no issues.

I want to follow up on my post from last week, one of the replies recommended to repost after a few days of testing. if you used the iCloud method to setup your new iPhone 16 Pro Max and your camera is crashing after a day or two, the only solution that worked for me is RESET ALL SETTINGS. it has been 6 days now and all is working fine. Go to Settings ->General-> Transfer or Reset-> Reset All Settings. As I stated in my previous post, you will not lose any data, your Apple Pay cards will be removed, location settings on all apps and some preferences.

I got mine a few days ago and it’s doing the same thing. I’ve shut it down and did a hard reset. It’s doing the exact same thing. I never had this issue with 14 pro max. Thankfully I didn’t do a trade in, so I’m thinking of sending this one back to Apple. My emojis don’t work, stickers don’t work. Not worth the $1,400 dollars just to have a camera side button that can’t see pictures.
