iphone 14 pro max waterproofing ineffective!!

Apple's official website claims that the phone can shoot videos underwater, with a waterproof rating of IP68, and that it's OK to shoot at 6 meters underwater, but in actuality, with my Apple 14 pro max, I just shot an average of no more than 2 minutes of video at less than 1 meter underwater, and it appeared to be a case of the device taking on water. On that day, my phone show SIM unrecognized and water spay on the camera.

I have approached offline stores and 400 and was asked to repair it at my own expense.

It's ridiculous!!!

iPhone 14 Pro Max - Technical Specifications - Apple Support

Apple says that this iPhone is "Splash, Water, and Dust Resistant" – not that it is waterproof. The type of water may matter, too. I suspect that IP ratings are based on tests using fresh water – not tests using salt water, or water containing other dissolved materials. Salt water is death to electronics.
