Why is my GPS not working on my iPhone XR?
Like so many others, none of my GPSs work! They quit on me! Why?

How many GPS’s do you have? An iPhone only has one. And like all GPS it only works outdoors with a clear view of the sky, not blocked by buildings, heavy foliage or even heavy rain or snow.
If you try to use navigation apps in any other situations you must have Wi-Fi turned on, even if you are not connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot, and also have a cellular network connection so the phone can use the locations of nearby Wi-Fi networks and cell towers to triangulate to determine your location.
