iOS 18 messages sent with effect extra message

If I send or receive a text message using iOS 18 of a sticker, Memoji or emoji and use the effect menu messages sends it and then includes an additional text with a message that I sent text with that effect. See attached screenshot for reference. Anyone else experience this? Anyone know how to stop the extra message?
