Most of the applications are not working after updating to macOS Sequoia
(Extra Information: I upgraded from MacOs 13 to 15 directly)
After I installed MacOs Sequoia, my M2 literally became a Windows machine, nothing is working.
I somehow could have found why the terminal and VSCode applications were not working. Their grants to access full disk seems revoked. I could have resolved by accessing the "Full Disk Access" settings, luckily them being among the apps that the setting GUI lets me to modify.
But not all apps are there and when I try to add the plus button, it simply does not work (I am providing the password/fingerprint).
- Powerpoint takes forever to open a file, and once it opens it can not "save as" or "export" as pdf and its disk access can not be given from the GUI.
- The plus sign in the "Full Disk Access" setting, even though password is given, i not working
- Even the wallpaper GUI can not choose new files (file access dialogue is not opening)
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated or I'll throw this garbage out of the window soon.
PS: Simply, Sequoia is the only bad experience that I faced in Apple ecosystem more than a decade. It reminded me the exact experience that I was having when I was using Windows.
