No volume on screen mirroring

All of a sudden when I screen mirror from my I phone the volume goes off

iPhone mirroring knocked out my iPhone screen I was using iPhone mirroring and I went to go back to my iPhone and use it by hand. I clicked Command-Q on the mirroring App on my MacBook, grabbed my phone and tried to use it. Seems alive, I pressed the power and sound up buttons, and nothing. I then hit power and sound up again and I heard the shutter sound. My phone is alive, but the screen is dead. I can take a screen shot and I went on my MacBook, did a sync with iCloud and there is my picture. The phone thinks it is displaying the shutdown screen. I tried swipe-ing in the right spot. Nothing. So touch screen is dead too.

Why is my iPad screen mirroring not working? My IPAD will no longer stream to TV screen via screen mirroring. It still working perfect on IPHONE. I have tried restarting, downloading most recent software, and ensure WiFi is connected. I can hear the volume coming out of TV of what’s on my IPAD but the screen is black. Any suggestions?
